If you have ever wanted easy access to the State of Alaska's holiday, payday, or retirement distribution calendars on your mobile device or other environment, there's good news. MickleTech (MT) maintains these three calendars via Google Calendar and has provided links below. Once you subscribe to a calendar, you will receive automatic updates every year when the calendars are updated.

The State of Alaska (SOA) has begun providing similar calendars in the iCalendar format which is the same format as the MT versions. They can be found at http://doa.alaska.gov/calendars.html. One of the differences between the SOA and MT calendars is that you will need to resubscribe to the SOA calendars every year. Since the SOA calendars only contain one year's worth of dates, you will be stuck subscribing to each individual year as they are released.

Subscribe using an Apple device

1. View this page using your mobile device.
2. Touch and hold on one of the available calendars listed below.
3. Tap "Copy".
4. From the home screen, tap "Settings".
5. Tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
6. Tap "Add Account".
7. Tap "Other".
8. Tap "Add Subscribed Calendar".
9. Paste the URL of the calendar.
10. Tap "Save".

How to subscribe using other calendar clients:

Because of the broad range of calendar applications and websites that have the ability to subscript to iCalendar calendars, I'm not able to provide instructions for all of them. In general, you will need to copy the calendar's URL from the links below and paste it into the application or website.
